The WNBA has announced that the All-Star Game will be held in Chicago in 2026 at the United Center. The game is scheduled for July 25, with the 3-point contest and Skills Challenge set to take place the day before, pending the finalization of a new collective bargaining agreement as the current one is nearing expiration.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert expressed excitement about returning the AT&T WNBA All-Star event to Chicago, highlighting the anticipated competitive action and community engagement. The league, in partnership with the Chicago Sky, is eager to showcase the talents of top players and engage fans worldwide in one of basketball’s most renowned cities.
Chicago previously hosted the All-Star Game in 2022 at the Wintrust Arena, the home of the Sky. The upcoming game at the United Center, which has a much larger capacity than the Wintrust Arena, will provide an enhanced platform for the league and its stars.
Chicago Sky’s CEO and President, Adam Fox, expressed enthusiasm for welcoming back the All-Star Game in 2026, aiming to capitalize on the success of the previous event and highlight the league’s remarkable growth on a global stage.
The last All-Star Game was held in Indianapolis, where Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark missed out due to a groin injury.
