The Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day parade is a traditional highlight of the Thanksgiving weekend. On Monday morning, spectators gathered along Weber Street to enjoy the parade under cool weather conditions with a temperature of 11°C at the start. The mix of sun and clouds provided a comfortable setting for the audience as they watched the parade unfold in downtown Kitchener at 9:30 a.m.

Various captivating scenes from the parade included a pipe band performance, festhalls’ ambassadors sharing a float, lively dancers engaging the crowd, a large inflatable of Onkle Hans on a keg, band members playing music, and Tante Frieda waving from a float. Additionally, the Onkel Hans Food Drive was actively collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations before the parade commenced.

This year’s event drew a lively crowd and showcased the community’s festive spirit during the annual Thanksgiving Day celebration.
