On Thanksgiving Monday, several businesses and services across the Island will either be closed or operating with reduced hours. It is advisable to contact specific establishments beforehand if you plan to visit them, especially if they are not included in the following list.
**Government offices and services:**
– Federal and provincial government offices, including Access P.E.I. locations, will be closed.
– All P.E.I. public libraries will not be open.
– Charlottetown City Hall, Summerside City Hall, and Three Rivers Town Hall will be closed.
– T3 Transit services will not be available.
– Island Waste Management Corporation will have an alternate pickup day on Saturday, Oct. 18.
– Tourism information centers in Borden-Carlton, Charlottetown, and Wood Islands will remain open.
– Canada Post services will be suspended.
**Grocery and retail:**
– Sobeys, Foodland, and Atlantic Superstore locations will be closed.
– Most Co-op locations will be closed, except for the Wellington location, which will close on Sunday and reopen on Monday, and the Souris location, which will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.
– Walmart, Dollarama, and Giant Tiger stores will be closed.
– P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission and P.E.I. Cannabis locations will be closed.
– Royalty Crossing Mall and Confederation Court Mall will be closed.
– County Fair Mall in Summerside will be closed, except for Lawtons Drugs store, which will have its exterior entrance open from noon to 5 p.m.
– Good’s Independent Grocer will be closed.
– Kensington Food Basket and Panda Mart will maintain regular hours.
**Pharmacies:**
– Lawtons Drugs locations will operate on holiday hours.
– Selected Shoppers Drug Mart locations will maintain regular hours, while others will adjust their schedules for the holiday.
– Some Murphy’s Pharmacy locations will be closed, while others will have holiday hours in effect.
