Israel announced on Monday that the Red Cross had delivered another deceased hostage from Gaza to the Israeli military, as stated by the Israeli prime minister’s office. This development indicates that there are still 12 hostages’ remains in Gaza awaiting recovery. Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, has highlighted challenges in locating the bodies amidst the debris from the conflict.
The retrieval and transfer of deceased hostages’ bodies in Gaza have posed difficulties for President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan. A spokesperson from the Israeli government mentioned that the militant group is aware of the bodies’ whereabouts.
To aid in the search, Israel permitted an Egyptian technical team to collaborate with the Red Cross in locating the bodies. The team will utilize excavators and trucks to search beyond the designated yellow line in Gaza, where Israeli forces initially withdrew as part of Trump’s initiative.
