The Seattle Kraken showed support for the city’s baseball team by donning Seattle Mariners jerseys at Scotiabank Arena before Game 6 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) against the Jays. They also took to social media with messages like “walk in the 6ix, takeover the 6ix” and “SEATTLE OVER EVERYBODY.”
Following this show of solidarity, the Kraken defeated the Maple Leafs 4-3 on the ice. The Mariners now lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 after a strong offensive performance led them to a 6-2 victory over the Blue Jays in Game 5.
In a crucial Game 6 at Rogers Centre on Sunday night, the Blue Jays will aim to bounce back against Seattle.
