Canada’s Brad Jacobs continued his winning streak at the Pan Continental Curling Championships by defeating South Korea 14-6 in Virginia, Minn. Jacobs and his team from Calgary pulled ahead with a strong performance, scoring four points in the sixth end and adding five more in the eighth after being tied 5-5 through five ends. Despite South Korea’s Soo-Hyuk Kim putting up a tough fight in the first half, the Canadian team’s consistency led them to victory.

Jacobs, along with vice-skip Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant, and lead Ben Hebert, showcased exceptional teamwork, shooting at an impressive 93%, with Kennedy leading the way at 95%. Up next, Team Canada will take on New Zealand’s Sean Becker, who is yet to secure a win in the tournament.

In the women’s category, Ottawa’s Rachel Homan improved her record to 2-1 by defeating Mexico’s Adriana Camarena 9-3. Homan dominated from the start, scoring three points in the opening end. She is scheduled to play two matches on Thursday against South Korea’s Eunji Gim and China’s Rui Wang.

The Pan Continental Curling Championships serve as a regional qualifier for the 2026 men’s and women’s world championships, adding significance to the ongoing matches.
