Actress Catherine O’Hara passed away due to a blood clot in her lung, as reported by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office.

The confirmation from the Associated Press revealed that the immediate cause of death was a pulmonary embolism, with an underlying condition of rectal cancer.

O’Hara, aged 71, breathed her last on January 30.

The oncologist who approved the death certificate mentioned that he had been providing care to O’Hara since March of the previous year, with the last consultation occurring on January 27. She succumbed to her condition at a hospital in Santa Monica, California.
