Despite initially holding a commanding lead of up to 22 points in the second quarter, the Alouettes found themselves trailing by two points within just six minutes of the third quarter. Alexander described the moment as feeling like a collapse was imminent, but he and his team regrouped and fought back.
Following a series of touchdowns by Winnipeg that shifted the game’s momentum, Alexander connected with Austin Mack for a pivotal 50-yard reception, setting up Stevie Scott III for a crucial score that put Montreal back in control. Alexander’s remarkable 18-yard rush on a critical second down in the closing minutes helped secure victory for the Alouettes, who sealed the game with a 12-yard field goal from Jose Maltos Diaz with 33 seconds remaining.
