Bad Bunny made history at the 68th annual Grammy Awards by winning the album of the year award for his album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” becoming the first Latin artist to do so. The Puerto Rican singer outshone notable artists like Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga. Kendrick Lamar also had a successful night, winning five awards, including record of the year for his collaboration with SZA on the track “luther.”
In addition, Lady Gaga had a triumphant evening, securing four Grammy wins for her album “Mayhem” and the hit single “Abracadabra.” Canadian producer Cirkut, who worked on Gaga’s album, received two awards, including producer of the year, non-classical.
Other notable winners included Billie Eilish for song of the year with “WILDFLOWER,” Olivia Dean for best new artist, and Joni Mitchell for best historical album with “Joni Mitchell Archives, Volume 4: The Asylum Years — 1976-1980.”
The ceremony also saw Kendrick Lamar surpassing Jay-Z as the most awarded rapper in Grammy history with 27 wins. Despite multiple nominations, Justin Bieber left empty-handed. However, he delivered a memorable performance of his song “YUKON” from his nominated album “Swag.”
