Blue Rodeo, the band known for their song “Lost Together,” has been honored with a special commemorative stamp by Canada Post. The stamp was revealed at a music venue in Toronto, featuring a design that showcases a collage of black-and-white studio portraits of the band’s current members, including lead singer-songwriters Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor, along with Mike Boguski, Jimmy Bowskill, Colin Cripps, Bazil Donovan, and Glenn Milchem.
Notably, the stamp does not feature founding members Bobby Wiseman and Cleave Anderson. It is adorned with illustrations of pink flowers along the edges and a blue guitar in the background. Blue Rodeo joins the ranks of other celebrated musicians who have received honorary stamps, such as Sarah McLachlan, Stan Rogers, Rush, and the Tragically Hip.
Formed in Toronto in 1984, Blue Rodeo achieved success with hits like “Try,” “Trust Yourself,” and “‘Til I Am Myself Again” during the ’80s and ’90s. The band has been recognized with inductions into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, and a Governor General’s Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement.
The commemorative stamp captures the essence of Blue Rodeo’s current lineup and pays tribute to their enduring impact on Canadian music.
