Must read

Thunder Bay police have urged the public to steer clear of a specific area on the south side of the city while they conduct a search for an individual believed to be injured. The police have cordoned off the Ramada by Wyndham Thunder Bay Airlane Hotel on Arthur Street following reports of a potentially-injured person. Authorities have engaged in an active search for the individual. As a precautionary measure, the police have informed the city school boards of their presence. This has led to Westgate CVI on James Street and St. Ann Elementary School on Georgina Avenue being put on hold-and-secure status. A spokesperson from Lakehead Public Schools has confirmed that the hold-and-secure at Westgate is connected to the incident at the Ramada. No further information has been disclosed at this time. Stay tuned for updates.
