Bell Media has secured a deal with Disney Entertainment to ensure the continuation of the Québécois French version of “The Simpsons.” Season 36 of “Les Simpson” is set to air on Bell Media’s Noovo television channel and will also be available for streaming on Crave starting in the fall.
Last year, fans were disappointed when Corus Entertainment chose not to renew the broadcast rights, forcing francophone viewers to watch new episodes in European French. However, thanks to an online petition that garnered thousands of signatures, the Québécois dubbing, known for its inclusion of local references and expressions, has been saved.
In a social media video shared by Noovo, Bart and Lisa Simpson announce the return of the Québécois French voices that audiences are familiar with. The Québécois seasons of the show are typically one year behind the American version, which has already started its 37th season in September.
Fans can also enjoy seasons one to 35 of “The Simpsons” in Québécois French on Disney+.
