Two days following the apprehension of former reality TV personality Joseph Duggar from “19 Kids and Counting,” an arrest warrant has been issued and executed for his spouse, Kendra Duggar. The Tontitown Arkansas Police Department, responsible for the Duggars’ residence, has levied four charges of endangering the welfare of minors and four charges of false imprisonment in the second degree against Kendra Duggar. Concurrently, Joseph Duggar faces the same charges. Joseph Duggar’s initial arrest last week was for inappropriate behavior with a minor under 12 years old, related to an alleged incident in 2020 involving a 9-year-old girl in Panama Beach, Florida.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that the victim’s father confronted Joseph Duggar on March 17, 2026, about the incidents, leading to Duggar’s admission of guilt to both the victim’s father and Tontitown Detectives. Joseph Duggar, who was apprehended in Tontitown, waived his right to an extradition hearing on Friday, paving the way for his transfer to Florida to face the child molestation accusation.
Kendra Duggar was released shortly after her arrest upon posting a $1,470 bond. The Duggar family declined to comment on the situation when contacted by CBC News.
These fresh charges against Joseph and Kendra Duggar emerge nearly five years after Joseph’s older brother, Josh Duggar, was found guilty of downloading illicit images depicting child sexual abuse. Investigators testified that a computer at a car dealership owned by Josh Duggar was used to acquire such imagery in 2019, resulting in his imprisonment sentence of 12½ years in 2022, which was upheld by the Supreme Court in 2024.
Both Josh and Joseph Duggar were prominent figures on the reality TV series “19 Kids and Counting,” which focused on the lives of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar as they raised their large family, all with names beginning with the letter J. The show, which first aired in 2004 as “14 Children and Pregnant Again!,” ran until 2015 when it was axed following allegations of Josh Duggar’s misconduct towards his sisters and a babysitter. Subsequent investigations found that the statute of limitations had expired for pressing charges. The follow-up series, “Counting On,” was also terminated after Josh Duggar’s arrest.
Joseph and Kendra Duggar’s courtship and subsequent marriage were featured on “Counting On.” While the couple has retreated from the public eye in recent years, their last public Instagram post dates back to 2021, commemorating their third child’s second birthday.
