Prepare for a fresh set of evictions as Big Brother Canada makes its return for the third season, set to premiere on CTV and Crave.
The beloved reality competition will commence production in Montreal next spring, with casting specifics to be disclosed at a later time, as announced by Bell Media during its upfront presentations in Toronto this week.
Additionally, the network will broadcast the enduring U.S. version of Big Brother starting in the summer of 2027.
Drawing inspiration from George Orwell’s renowned dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, the reality show brings together a cohort of participants referred to as houseguests, who dwell in a specially constructed residence under constant audio and video monitoring, isolated from the external world, competing for monetary rewards.
Contestants maneuver through interpersonal conflicts and evolving relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, striving to evade eviction from the residence and elimination from the competition.
The hosting duties for the Canadian revival have been entrusted to lifestyle host and entertainment journalist Andrea Bain, known for her current role as co-host on CTV’s daytime talk show The Social and her past involvement with CBC’s daytime program The Goods.
Expressing her excitement, she shared on social media, “If you’ve observed my career, you are aware of my affinity for reality TV, compelling personalities, unexpected plot twists, and unforgettable moments. Therefore, being a part of a franchise that has consistently delivered all these elements for decades is a dream come true for me.”
Bell’s agreement encompasses the complete collection of the show’s 12 previous seasons, available for binge-watching on Crave, in addition to the French-language variant Big Brother Célébrités.

Since its inception in the late 1990s in the Netherlands, numerous iterations of Big Brother have aired across multiple countries, achieving success in regions ranging from Brazil to the U.K., India to Australia.
In 2013, Shaw Media and Corus Entertainment introduced a Canadian version on Slice, a digital platform, before relocating the popular show to the primary network Global two years later.
