“Dollarama Garlic Powder Recall Due to Contamination”

Must read

A recall has been issued for garlic powder sold at Dollarama, advising Canadians to avoid consuming the affected product.

The recall pertains to Heavenly Spices brand garlic powder available in a 70-gram package distributed nationwide.

This week, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) released the recall notice issued by the dollar store chain.

The CFIA emphasized, “Refrain from using, selling, serving, or distributing the impacted product,” according to the statement from CFIA.

As per the CFIA, the reason for the recall was contamination with Bacillus cereus, a bacterium known to cause foodborne illness, leading to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.
